After winning the internal design competition for the interior design of Tesla’s most important BEV to date, Patrick took over the initial design lead for the Model 3 showcar interior.

With the goal in mind to create the most advanced and comfortable seats of any production car to date, Patrick set out to design the first, second and third row seats for the Model X production car, with the monopost-mounted second row seats being the world’s first car seat of this kind.

Patrick was part of a small group of Tesla designers who got to work on the design of the exterior as well as the interior of the SpaceX Dragon. While the interior design was eventually outsourced to an external agency, Patrick saw his exterior design proposal move to production.
